Yoga is unity
between the individual soul and the supreme soul. Yoga also means unity between
all human beings; all creatures of God. Besides that, yoga means to release all
worldly desires and prepares the way to live in physical, mental and spiritual
health. The body is a vehicle of the individual soul, which is to be made clean
and beautiful everyday by practicing yoga so that the soul and supreme soul
dwell in this beautiful human body perfectly.
Once a person
cleans this body regularly by yoga exercises, breathing exercises and
meditation, then the real nature of soul is reflected on the face of the
individual human being and as result, human beings become full of compassion,
justice, love and care to all.
Yoga started from nature and thus it
makes human beings to be very natural and act naturally. By following this, we
will overcome modern stressful life and become the real and complete human
beings.
Yoga advises the 21st
century for universal peace and brotherhood.
Yoga is the last
hope for the human society to live in universal peace and harmony. Yoga tells
about the unity of the soul with the supreme soul and its foundation based on
the unity between all the human being on the earth. Let us create a peace
loving society on this planet on the basis of yoga values, which are universal
in practice and of this century.
Let us forget the past which is full
of suffering and the future that is full of worries and remember the present,
which is wonderfully blissful by learning yoga. If you make your present full
of happiness, your future will be the same, therefore choose the way of yoga,
the beautiful path of healthy living and fulfil your sweet dreams. Yoga is the
way of life and then we can create a beautiful society on the principles of
universal love.
Yoga can be represented in art,
culture, music, dance, poetry and every good aspect of life. If someone
surrenders himself/herself to yoga then he/she becomes a part of a universal
brotherhood society that will think only for the wellness and goodness for all
creatures. His/her real journey starts after that. Then he/she will become the
symbol of universal man/woman of this universe and obtain internal peace,
health and help in establishing peace outside.
Global ethics based on yoga
Non-violence,
truth, non-stealing, control of desires, celibacy, cleanness, internal-external
practice, contemplation, reading the holy books and remembering the supreme
energy:
These are the
ethical principles which are essential for all human being to practice in order
to live a peaceful and harmonious life.
Yoga for health
Yuj means the
yoking of individual consciousness with the divine consciousness, or God, and
the individual spiritual with the universal soul or restraint of the ever
moving mind. There is a surprising fact that a vast majority of people around
the world suffer from mental pressure, depuration and frustration and most of
them are reluctant to consult a doctor or look for counselling from
psychologists and psychiatrists. In the meantime, those who consult the doctor
are recommended to take analgesic drugs so they are then under the threat of
serious side-effects. Should we be addicted to those analgesic drugs or
painkillers? Certainly not! Yoga is not a physical exercise. However, it is
rich in harmonious mental exercise to reach the balance of the body, mind and
soul because the healthy mind dwells within the healthy body. Yoga has some
methods to bring the mental region where a yogi can get united with God or
control over the power of nature and acquire an understanding evolution,
universal knowledge, art philosophy, science and spiritual knowledge.
Millions of
people suffer from acute diseases as a result of improper eating, imbalanced
diet, too much work, fatigue, habitual sleeplessness; and such problems can be
overcome by hospitals and doctors. This can be surmounted only if the human
being has healthy thoughts, works and deeds. This method can be found in yoga
and its ultimate purpose to create the harmony of the body, mind and soul.
In view of health, yoga exercise can
promote the blood circulation and oxygen distribution required by the body,
prevent and even cure several kinds of illness. The most important advantage is
that it keeps the physical and mental condition healthy and happy as well as
increasing the stamina in facing the climate changes and holds the hunger and
thirst. By understanding yoga introduced by Patanjali, namely the Astangga yoga
or eightfold path, one becomes physically, mentally and morally healthy.
Yoga and beauty
Beauty is an
essential element in the nature of human beings. The whole world is a beautiful
creation of God and God is the most beautiful nature, which is more beautiful
then everything also, reminding us to learn and preserve this beauty throughout
life. Nature inspires us to learn from the laughing flowers, green trees, clean
water, and clean air. Let us be humble and respect this environment so that we
become beautiful and handsome.
The Yogic way of life, a beautiful
art of living, is closely related to the beauty of nature. The beauty of yoga
is not only physical but also mental, moral and spiritual. Physical beauty may
decline after some time but the mental, moral and spiritual beauty of each
individual will continue until the end. The beauty of mind is to accept all
cultures, respect all religions and have a universal approach. When we practice
yoga we clean our mind of all bad qualities and bring beauty into the world.
A person who does yoga regularly
will automatically be open minded, have respect for the others, like to listen to
others and to have a great compassion for all. Patanjali, the founder of yoga
says that to restrain the process of mind is yoga. Therefore, let us make this
mind beautiful and universal by doing yoga.
Celebration of soul
If a person releases anger, greed, worldly
attachment and surrenders himself/herself to the supreme energy and acts as a
performer like the sun has duties to shine everyday without anger, greed and
any other attachment. Similarly the moon, the air, the water, the fire and the
earth, which are not attached to anyone but just performing their celestial
duties for the sake of the universe, similarly a true yogi becomes part of this
cosmic law of nature performing his real duties by awakening the soul and then
he starts singing celestial songs in praise of the supreme energy, starts
smiling to all the creatures, lives a life full of joy and becomes so peaceful
that every breath is to remember, I am he, the supreme energy and starts
singing, dancing and acting for the welfare of human beings and creatures. This
kind of self realised human being starts living the whole life and death as a
celebration of the soul.
And thus a life of yogi and also
death is a part o celebration of the soul by practicing this beautiful art of
life: yoga. Everyone can join this celebration of soul.
True Heaven
Many people
dream of the heaven. They think after this life they will go to heaven, which
is more beautiful than this earth, for that many people die for the sake of
culture, religion and language but yoga says we create this beautiful earth
which is also created by the God.
If the God is perfect then his creation must
be perfect. Therefore make this earth as this beautiful heaven for all
creatures and if we have done so then there will be no more fighting each other
in the name of culture, religion etc. but live in peace and harmony as we are
dreaming of heaven.
If we are unqualified from this
heaven then we are eligible to enter the other heaven but if we make this earth
full of mess the dream of going to heaven is not possible and is against the
cosmic law of nature. By following the path of yoga we will make this earth
heaven.
Message
Yoga has one of
the best methods of curing physical diseases and calming the wandering mind.
The founder of yoga, Patanjali, introduced the eightfold path for the healthy
well being of human kind and finally encouraged them to realise this human body
is a vehicle of the soul and unites with the almighty at the end. When we are
close to nature and keep this environment free from pollution of all kinds,
then nature whispers in our ear. That is the message of God and this message
was heard by Patanjali who was then inspired by nature and thus the origin of
yoga is nature.
Let us keep this beautiful world as
it is. Let plants, trees and beautiful flowers surround you before you start
doing yoga. The yoga introduced by Patanjali is very simple and universal for
all human beings. I have been in this field since childhood and am continuing
this great mission for myself and for all other divine souls. Let us learn and
spread this divine message of God to all our brothers and sisters, so that they
enjoy a healthy and prosperous life. In the eyes of Patanjali, a person who is
physically, mentally, morally and spiritually healthy is truly a healthy
person. Let us move towards that direction.
